Week 8, I'd say was the best and worst of a week, so far for this year. I had girls' night out with Gloria and Nan afterwork on the Wednesday night, for spanish dinner at El Bulli. What more can a girl ask for when "Lambada" played by a live band, while we had paella and conquetas de jamon, coupled with Sangria? Nada! It was rad!
I flew back to Singapore for the weekend. To my great surprise, I have received the package I sent (to myself) when I was in Prague for holidays last Sept 2011. I was overwhelmed I could cry for joy. I was following up and tracking this package every 2 weeks for the past 5 months. Relentlessly, I never stopped emailing Czech post as well as Sing post for tracking. True enough, the postal tracking system in Prague was not as reliable as in Singapore. And while the package hasn't arrived in Singapore (as destination), I had no other choice but to continue to followup with Czech post. The language barrier via emails was difficult enough, and more so, the late responses due to huge time difference. But with God's grace, this box has arrived. In it was my first Infant Jesus of Prague porcelain statue in red dress and white cape. I was super duper happy!
As for the main agenda of my Singapore flyback, I had transferred to my new flat in Singapore. The packing, moving and unpacking was just too much effort, especially, after I realised that the accumulated stuff in the past years were too much. I have to make some changes on how best to handle my stuff soon. Something's cooking in my mind and wallet, right now :) Luckily, I got some help on the cleaning for the old flat before handing it over to the owner. In the new flat, I had to get some in-between rest time in unpacking and arranging my stuff in the kitchen and office-like area. Some of my boxes are still packed, but I had to keep this remaining chore at bay first, until the next time I fly back to Singapore, as I am now back in Sydney.
